SDLP Youth Belfast - Paddy Wilson Branch.

The Paddy Wilson branch of SDLP Youth covers activists from the Belfast area.

The Belfast branch of SDLP Youth is named after the Senator Paddy Wilson, elected as a Republican Labour member to the Senate of Northern Ireland in 1969 before becoming a founding member of the SDLP the following year. Paddy served as the first General Secretary of the SDLP as well as a councillor for the Dock ward on Belfast City Council. Paddy along with his friend Irene Andrews were murdered by the UFF in June 1973.
